My name is Kristen Kodama (also known as "Nyt" to my Minecraft students)! As an individual with many diverse interests, I've taken on many roles over the years, and have become an experienced business administrator, program co-ordinator, STEM instructor, and multimedia creator!

For the past seven years, I worked for The Cube School of Technology as an Administrator and Senior STEM Instructor, handling business administration, inquiries, website management, and program development, amongst many other tasks. I was also primarily responsible for coordinating and running the virtual coding class programming and Minecraft workshops! While everyone moved on to new adventures, don't fret – The Cube's virtual coding classes live on and I've continued to teach private classes to both new and returning students!

I am currently working as the Executive Coordinator and Program Developer for MetaSchool. MetaSchool uses multisensory phonics programs with the intention of helping children with autism, dyslexia, and other disabilities develop, flourish, and achieve success in all areas. Aside from general business management, I have been working to reimagine their traditional OG and FIE course curriculum in Minecraft with the aim of creating programming that is fun, educational, and accessible!

I graduated from the Interactive Media Design and Production collaborative degree-diploma program between the University of Western Ontario and Fanshawe College. While in school, I studied media communications, graphic design, and web development with electives in video game theory, social media analysis, Japanese language, and writing. Since then, I've continued to teach myself new skills as I find it important to maintain a constant willingness to learn and adapt with the ever-changing arts and STEM industries!

Outside of work, my extensive list of hobbies includes drawing, sewing, writing, TTRPGs, and video games. I'm always more than happy to talk about my D & D campaigns, show off my little (and ever-growing) dice collection, or share my latest sewing creation!

Please don't hesitate to leave a message, ask a question, or inquire about my private coding classes! I look forward to hearing from you! 😄
